Overall experience: 4-6 years (Senior Data Scientist / Senior Analyst / SME) *Job Duties:* • Translate high level business requirements / problems into sound and comprehensive analytical framework through appropriate usage of advanced statistical / mathematical techniques • Responsible for successful delivery of advanced analytics solutions and services in client consulting environment using techniques like regression, optimization (linear/non-linear/constrained), simulation, forecasting, and other predictive analysis • Write software to clean and investigate large, messy data sets of numerical and textual data • Build predictive models from multiple data sources, develop advanced algorithms that extract and classify information from large datasets • Solve business problems through usage of appropriate statistical techniques (predictive and descriptive) like multinomial linear and nonlinear regression, time series, hierarchical regression, Bayesian modeling, segmentation, clustering, ANOVA/ ANCOVA, correlation etc. • Collaboratively define key business problem to be solved, formulate approaches and gather data to solve the problem • Conduct analysis, draw insights and present findings to the customer • Design rich data visualizations to communicate complex ideas to customers or company leaders *Skills Required:* • Expertise in statistical software like R, SAS, Python • Proficiency in Tableau, SQL and big data technologies will be highly preferred • Strong communications skills and ability to work in client environment • Knowledge of HR domain and exposure to HR Analytics • Self-driven, attention to detail and proactive • Capable of handling multiple mission-critical projects simultaneously without sacrificing quality or impacting deadlines *Basic Qualifications:* -At least a PhD OR a Master’s Degree and a minimum of 1 year experience OR a Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 6 years of experience -At least 1 year experience in open source programming languages for large scale data analysis -At least 1 year experience with machine learning -At least 1 year experience with relational databases -At least 1 year experience with SQL *Preferred Qualifications:* -3+ years’ experience in open source programming languages for large scale data analysis -3+ years’ experience with machine learning -3+ years’ experience with relational databases -3+ years’ experience with SQL Provides business process or systems support for a centralized Commercial Banking operations team that may include duties such as root cause analysis, mapping of current processes or systems, iterative problem definition and hypothesized improvement opportunities. Experience using SIPOC analysis, process maps, and RACI, Six Sigma or other related methodologies. May include facilitation of Kaizen events. May involve re-engineering of existing processes. Includes facilitation of organizational change and performance measures. Service experience 5+ years in financial services environment Process experience 3+ years AML experience desired not required Capital One experience desired but not required Quantitative & Analytical Skills Excellent – strategic application of experience; Demonstrated experience supporting business process improvement projects Ability to effectively communicate across multiple levels (Executive Sponsors to team members). Influencing skills highly developed.
