**Position : Lead Oracle DBA Location : Boca Raton,FL Duration : 12+ Months Contract* *Must haves:* *8-10 years of database administration experience 4+ years as an Oracle DBA in an enterprise production environment (8i/9i/10g)* *2+ years as Senior or Lead Oracle DBA. * Experience with Data Modeling Experience with ETL tools (Informatica) Knowledge of data collection, storage, and maintenance concepts. Knowledge of the latest features of Data Warehouse systems. OLTP and OLAP environment Proficiency in PL/SQL Relational Database design, practice, and theory Strong Unix skills on SUN platforms. In depth technical knowledge of Oracle DBMS Database performance-tuning skills to record DBMS activity and identify bottlenecks. Recommend DBMS configuration changes to optimize server performance, implement cache, buffer pool, and configurable memory structure options for DBMS. Installation of Oracle, Oracle database concepts, structures, objects and methodology SQL performance tuning skills Strong development skills in Unix Scripting Experience developing project standards and procedures related to configuration management throughout the application software development/maintenance life cycle (SDLC) *Pluses:* Experience in SQL server Knowledge of PCI will be a plus Our client is seeking an Oracle Database Administrator that possesses experience in architecting and administration of high availability databases in a complex software environment. The DBA will design, develop, implement large databases, and maintain smooth operation and the integrity of the databases. In addition, conduct performance tuning of indexes and databases in general; review database design and integration of systems and provide backup recovery; make recommendations regarding enhancements and/or improvements; maintain security and integrity controls. This person well also formulate policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management, and monitor transaction activity and utilization. The Senior DBA has exemplary leadership skills, e.g., practiced in problem solving during critical situations.
