*Location: Chicago IL* *Duration: 12 months* *No of Positions: 2* *Client: Direct Client* *10+ years of hands-on experience in software architecture and development * Primary Responsibilities: * Builds new/enhance existing systems in .NET using WCF Services, MS SQL Server, Oracle, and SOA technologies. * Works with business team and other software developers in completing software development and enhancement tasks. * Analyzes requirements and designs solutions for projects and change requests. * Codes, tests, debugs, implements, documents, and maintains complex programs. * Develops test plans to verify logic of new or modified programs. * Creates appropriate technical documentation. * Performs code reviews for other team members. * Prepares estimates of effort and duration for development tasks and activities. * Identifies and validates solution interfaces, dependencies, and integration points. * Ensures that developed code is compliant with best practices, standards, and enterprise architecture. * Participates in and supports quality assurance and testing. * Responsible for ongoing support and troubleshooting. * Remains up to date on latest technologies. Skills/Experience: 'Candidate must possess strong problem solving, leadership, and communication skills. Candidate must also be versed in .NET web design and architecture. The following additional engineering skills are required: • A degree in computer science or a related field in software development with five to eight years of experience. • Excellent written and verbal communications skills • 5+ years of .NET Development (C#) experience • 5+ years of Web Design (HTML, XML, Javascript, CSS) experience • Strong understanding of database architecture and programming • Extensive experience with software platform architecture • Experience with Service Oriented Architecture and Messaging Platforms • Working knowledge of ASP.NET/WCF using C# and .NET Technologies. • Experience with SOAP and REST Web Services.
