*Initially Phone interview and then Face to Face is must* SUMMARY The Lead Software Engineer is responsible for the development, maintenance, support and enhancement of enterprise integrated solutions, software and data. Provides technical leadership of development teams on one or more projects. Analyzes and determines how existing application systems, databases, Web interfaces and/or hardware logic, work together in order to provide optimum availability, support, enhancements and new solutions to meet business objectives. Determines work tasks, accurately estimate effort and collaborates with IT managers to successfully coordinate, develop and implement projects and release packages to fulfill operational support, enhancements and project requests. Develops, publishes and maintains technical documentation. Performs code reviews to ensure conformance to AAMC coding, security and performance standards. The Lead Software Engineer provides high degree of expertise in many technical and business content areas. Works on complex initiatives with little or no supervision, performing a combination of technical, development, administrative and coordination tasks to achieve a high level of product quality and support. Serves as the technical leadership for projects that develop software and implement technology solutions and is ultimately responsible for the overall quality of the delivered software and technology solution, from the underlying technology to the user interface. QUALIFICATIONS Required: • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or related field, plus a minimum of 7 years of software development experience. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • 5+ years of technical lead experience leading Java re-engineering projects’ development teams • Previous demonstrated success in leading software development efforts. • 5-7 years of development experience using J2EE, Spring framework, Hibernate • 3+ years of PL/SQL development experience. • 3+ years of database design and development. • 3+ years in SOAP and RESTFul web service development in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). • 1+ years of experience with HTML/JavaScript development (experience with Angular, Less CSS and Bootstrap technologies is preferred). • Working experience with design patterns, continuous integration, automated unit test and test driven development. • Knowledge of and experience in agile software development. • Knowledge of software engineering, technology architectures, systems integration and emerging technologies. • Demonstrated organizational, analytical, interpersonal and problem-solving skills. • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with non-technical and technical staff alike. • Demonstrated experience in creating proposals, plans, schedules, and progress reports. • Certified Scrum Master Certification (CSM) certification is preferred. Job Titles and Functions Supervised This position supervises the technical performance and evaluates the work products of temporarily assigned matrix development staff and participates in interviewing and hiring new development staff, contractors and consultants.
