*NOTE: Need .Net Developer - HOuston TX -- Local Only* *Job Title: .Net DeveloperLocation: Houston TXDuration: 06 Month Contract* Job Description: The Client is looking for a C#.Net Developer to provide new development and support for plant systems; work in a team and independently to design, develop, and implement applications for a wide variety of business needs for Power Operations. Duties and Responsibilities: Develops applications, including user interface, workflow, and back-end processing solutions Provides application development and integration activities, including design, development, and testing. May be asked to provide production technical support for investigation and resolution of help desk tickets related to the support of supported apps. Interact with business users and IT staff to provide guidance on the use of developed systems and deployed technologies from a technical perspective yet in layman¹s terms.Qualifications:.NET Development skills (Must be .Net C#), Web and ASPX skills Telerik experience is preferred. At least 7 years development experience. Experience with SQL Server and SQL Server Reporitng Services is desired Able to determine and transfer abstract business concepts into workable software. Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline or the equivalent combination of formal education and experience. Experience with .NET, XML, ASP,.Net , XSLT ,VB.Net, JavaScript, Web Services Ability to deliver graphically intuitive interfaces to data intense systems preferred. Experience with SharePoint preferred Experience with Visual Studio, Active Directory and working knowledge of SQL Server 2008 and up is desired Knowledge of system development lifecycles including Agile methodology; development cycles are short (often 4 - 12 weeks or less). Responsible team player with the ability to work independently or interface well with internal resources and external systems integrators. Excellent communications and personal skills and willingness to actively engage with plant staff and corporate users as needed.
