*SAP BASIS Consultant* Location: Woodcliff Lake, NJ Duration: 6 months to start Contract 5 day work week on site *Description* client is in need of an SAP Basis Consultant who will be responsible for providing technical expertise and expert SAP Basis Consulting and administration, in running the SAP environments. This role requires an expert level of SAP Basis administration knowledge across many of the SAP products used by the client including: ECC 6.0 EHP5/6, CRM 7.01, SAP PI 7.3, SAP Solution Manager 7.1, SAP NetWeaver 7.3, BW/BI 7.3, SAP EP, BPC, SAP BO 4.0 on Windows/MSSQL Server 2008 DB platform and MSCS Cluster. The successful candidate will assume responsibility for achieving expected outcomes related to the overall SAP landscape, performing hands-on tasks like the systems builds and upgrades, plan for cutover activity, issue resolution, performance optimization etc. The position will execute project and technical activities and update the Basis Manager of project related objectives, processes, events, issues, statuses, and results. The position also is responsible for system performance tuning and DB administration along with advanced problem solving and technical support. The position provides general monitoring, support and maintenance tasks for existing SAP systems. The SAP SME Consultant is responsible for installing SAP products, monitoring and maintaining those products, upgrading and providing enhancements as required, participating in troubleshooting of SAP issues, and general performance, stability, availability and recoverability of the SAP systems. This position will work along with other Basis and Infrastructure team members to complete assignments related to all facets of SAP support. These tasks will include troubleshooting SAP problems, monitoring and configuring SAP systems for optimal performance, assisting in maintenance and release cycle tasks, and working with other teams to complete tasks as needed for various projects. The successful candidate will be accountable and responsible for: Qualifications: Key actions, outputs, deliverables, products and/or services performed by this position include: 1. Required SAP Basis Administration skills: A. SAP Installations B. SAP Upgrades C. Advanced research and resolution of issues D. Performance Tuning E. SAP Integration to other SAP and non-SAP systems F. Database monitoring and troubleshooting G. Client copies, systems copies, instance refreshes H. Backups and restores I. Monitoring and Tuning of SAP systems J. Patch Administration K. Transport Management L. Third party product installations M. SAP OSS research N. Database migrations and reorganizations O. MS SQL DBA knowledge included, but not limited to restore and recovery, parameter settings. P. Must be advanced with JAVA Stack knowledge. 2. Knowledge and experience requirements: A.Undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Business Information Systems desired. B.7-10 years of SAP work experience is required with a focus on ECC, CRM, BW, BPC, XI/PI, SAP BO and Solution Manager with Windows and MSSQL DB, in MSCS Cluster. C.4-6 years of work experience as an SAP Basis Architect with demonstrated experience related to landscape design and planning, expert performance optimization skills etc. D.7-10 years of SAP Basis Administration work experience, in both Implementation Projects and Production Support. E.3+ years of work experience with MSSQL database skills. F.3+ years of work experience supporting Web/Internet technologies. G.Working experience with SAP monitoring techniques and tools. H.Working experience in SAP systems performance tuning and optimization. 3. Proven ability to Lead Technical Projects and work as a Team player as well - A.Have the ownership of the assigned technical projects, and responsible for the tasks/resource allocation, execution, tracking etc. B.Status reporting, to the Basis Manager on the assigned Technical Projects. C.Ability to collaborate within team as well as with the other groups within program. D.Ability to train and have proper KT within the Basis Team, on need basis.
