READ QUALIFICATIONS…*NETWORK PROGRAMMING REQUIRED, GRID TECHNOLOGY REQUIRED* Perl C/C++ UNIX Developer NYC 12 Months *OVERVIEW:* Senior Programmer/Analyst to design and develop critical Basel 2 projects. The candidate must have 5+ years of experience in a Perl/C++ in Unix environment with strong problem-solving and organizational skills. The candidate must also be familiar with the Software Development Lifecycle framework and be able to multi-task and deliver on tight timeframes. *CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS * 5+ years of programming experience. Expertise in Perl and C/C++ in Unix Environment is a must. Advanced knowledge of Network Programming. Familiarity with Grid Technology. Knowledge of Derivatives and Credit Risk application a plus *KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:* Responsible for maintenance and enhancements of existing applications. Analyze current programs and processes and make recommendations to further improve the efficiencies of the existing products. Will develop new programs using prescribed set of specifications. Write test plans, cases and conditions for testing the applications. Support the existing and new applications in production and QA environments. Write and maintain programming documentation. *EXPECTED OUTCOMES * Develop an understanding of the existing applications in order to be able to maintain and enhance these applications.
