MANAGE PROJECTS not just people! Doesn't need Program Management or PMO any longer…just a PM in the infrastructure world. Retail not necessary either, but must be familiar with the language of hardware equipment, iSeries, open systems, network equipment, and the terminology that people use so we all can talk the same language. One of the items this job will require is a lot of documentation and connecting people together. *Heavy experience with MS Project is critical,* got to know it very well, version 2010, as well as g*ood experience with Visio and basic Excel.* Knowledge of *data centers and all the technology involved, like EMC storage, iseries and open systems hardware*. However, they will not be the subject matter experts (SMEs) in this area as we have people who know those technologies. But its good to have someone who knows what people are talking about.
