*Hi, *

*please find the below position and reply back to res...@ivytechsol.us
<res...@ivytechsol.us>*

*Position:SAP BW *

*Sales & Operations Planning/Demand planning *– 20% Business
responsibilities, 80% technical responsibilities

Length: At least 6 months

Location:Elmhurst, IL

*Business Responsibilities*

· The reason for this position is the relationship between the business and
the IT SAP team isn’t strong right now

o The business isn’t seeing the complete value in SAP and this person needs
to champion SAP BW and all of its function through building relationships
with the Sales and Operations team and making sure SAP BW is fully being
utilized

o This person CANNOT be an order taker – they need to be able to identify
when the business is asking for something that isn’t a best practice and
push back on them. I.E. if the business asks for something to be done a
certain way, but it can be done a different way, they need to be able to
say something like “I’ve tried that way before on a project and didn’t have
the best results, I think it would be best to do it like this” or if the
business asks for something very similar to something that is already
implemented – they need to be able to say “We have X feature already, have
you seen this? Will this work for you or what is it exactly you are wanting
out of Y feature?”

· They need to be agents of change and be able to solve business problems

· *Specifically this person needs to have experience working with Sales and
Operation Planning/Demand planning business units *

*Technical Responsibilites - *This person’s technical responsibilities will
be broken down into 2 parts:

*1. Projects – *this person will be responsible for doing the development
from the requirements they gathered for the specific projects. The current
project going on right now is the implementation of APO & DP.

a. They will not be the only developer on this team. For projects, they
scale up with consultants that will be more technical, so they need to be
able to communicate requirements to consultants and other team members but
also need to be able to contribute to development themselves

2. *Day-to-day Support – *Not in the terms of break-fix, they don’t have a
whole lot of break fix. However, there are situations where modifications
need to be made to certain areas of SAP once they uncover the needs from
the business. They don’t have the staff to pass this off to other
developers all the time so they will need to be able to do the development
themselves in most cases. They don’t want to have to hold anyone’s hand.

*Technical Must Haves: *

· SAP BW

· *SCM Module*

· *APO *

· *DP *

· BEx Query Designer

· Reporting

· BOBJ

· Some ABAP Development – don’t need expert knowledge

*Technical nice to haves: *

· HANA

· XCelsius

· SAP Extractors

· WEBi

· BPC

*Environment: *

o They utilize Agile within SAP

*o They are currently implementing BPC & APO and are going to be
implementing BOBJ, HANA this year. *
