Note Consultant Must be local from CA !!* *Job Responsibilities: The role:* The Strategy & Analytics team is looking to hire a Technical Data Analyst to assist the team in providing data rigor across the strategic and product planning for the business. This is a critical role due to the complexities of the data structure and analysis. To truly garner actionable insights, we are looking for a candidate that can extracting data from large data sets using SQL scripts, ensuring data meets standards of rigor/integrity for analysis and dissemination, and analyzing the data using statistical methods. Blending strong technical skills and an understanding of data structure to create insights to drive results. The ideal candidate will have strong interest in working with data and utilizing techniques to improve efficiency of data extraction and manipulation. We would hope this person has a keen interest in working within the gaming market and have a good understanding of eCommerce and/or software as a service practices. * Primary Responsibilities* Develop queries and reports to extract and analyze large amounts of structured and unstructured data Design, develop, and own standard dashboards/reports that provide an overarching view across business units, using data gathered from multiple sources Conceptualize and develop quality report/data extraction processes based on business requirements Identify opportunities for reporting process, dashboards and efficiency enhancements Audit existing reports and build in ‘automation’ through SQL queries and VBA scripts, minimizing manual intervention Plan, execute and present trends, new insights and recommendations to senior management and partners Lead data governance / audit projects through rigorous validation and enforcement of web analytics standards *Requirements/Qualifications:* BS in Math, Computer Science, Engineering or related technical fields Strong SQL Experience (Oracle/Teradata) with exposure to ad-hoc reporting and complex queries. Knowledge of data modeling and data warehousing processes and concepts. Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools especially Excel, MicroStrategyand Tableau is a huge plus.
