Dear All, I have the following position open. Please let me know your thoughts. 3 references required. *DUTIES:* - Facilitate the migration from FirstClass collaborations software from OpenText Corporation to a Microsoft Office 365 environment for existing FirstClass users based across the state. - Configure Symantec security and anti-virus software to provide maximum protection and security for data on all file servers and workstations to prevent loss of end user data. - Install a Help Desk and Asset Management software system to facilitate the budgeting process for upgrading IT assets and to track hardware, software and IT support calls. - Regularly conduct a test of the backup system to ensure Laserfiche data and office file server data can be restored if needed. - Implement an end-to-end network monitoring software tool so that the Network Admin is proactively alerted when a critical device goes out of service. - Provide support for the phone system and security card access system so that technical issues can be resolved and end users can be administered. - Create formal operations documentation including login credentials for all servers and firewalls for both the PAC server room and the colocation cabinet at Quality Technology Services (QTS). - Establish and implement policies, procedures, and technologies (including firewalls) as well as apply operating system updates, patches, and configuration, to ensure all systems are current, secure and accurate. - Participate in evaluation of new technologies or solutions to improve service and efficiency of systems with emphasis on system security. *QUALIFICATIONS:* - Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or related field from a four-year accredited college or university and 8+ years of related experience. - Ability to configure CISCO firewall. - Ability to configure Dell SonicWall firewall. - Knowledge of Extreme Networks environment and devices. - Knowledge of ShoreTel PBX phone system. - Proficiency in Windows Server administration and Active Directory. - Proficiency in Linux operating system. - Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite software. - Experience supporting Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL databases. - Knowledge of backup and recovery concepts and testing. - Knowledge of electronic security access systems from providers such as Convergint Technologies. - Experience with Symantec AntiVirus and Symantec Critical System Protection applications is a plus. - Experience with implementing and administering Office 365 is a plus. - Ability to work with minimal supervision, exercise discretion, and use independent judgement. - Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. - A background in Georgia state government, criminal justice or prosecution is a plus. - Other requirements are a valid Georgia driver’s license, the ability to lift and move file servers and other equipment, and excellent customer service and communication skills both verbal and written.
