The successful candidate will be responsible for :
•          Develop test cases to validate new functionality
•          Work closely with business analysts and developers to ensure
appropriate test coverage and identify gaps if any.
•          Ensure functionality is tested against requirements, validate
that the solution is fit for purpose and supports the full end-to-end
client business process.
•          Detailed manual testing of new functionality & regression of
existing functionality. This includes Server & Client testing. Validation
will be performed against the server & java logs, database, XML messages
between the client & server as well as the front end applications.
•          Use extensive SQL and UNIX commands to confirm that the data
reported is as expected.
•          Automate testing effort using toolset such as QTP and Load
Runner, where possible.
•          Server side automation for testing critical trading system
services, such as regulatory reporting feeds, back office systems.
•          Perform comprehensive analysis of any error to assist in working
out the root cause of the issue prior to recording in a defect tracking
tool.
•          Participate in a culture of "knowledge sharing" within the
project team.
•          Work closely with the test manager and help with managing other
projects in the area.

  Demonstrate their experience of working on previous successful testing
projects.
  Demonstrate their in-depth understanding and knowledge of Test
Methodologies and the full SDLC.
  Must be able to demonstrate strong business skills
  Strong Database Testing skills (writing SQL Queries – includes joins
etc.)
  Knowledge of scripting (VB, VBScript, Shell, perl etc)
  Previous investment banking experience
  Results driven Able to deliver good quality accurate solutions to tight
time-scales
  Conscientious Always give 100% to tasks assigned
  Versatile -Able to multi-task
  Team Player Must be able to work with and participate within a large
professional team
  Professional – Expect to work the hours the job demands

*Technologies*
As part of the testing team, technical skills are expected for trouble
shooting and creating tools to improve process efficiency. The candidate is
expected to have experience in at least one database, programming language
and operating system.

C# & .NET, Java, Scripting (PERL), SQL, VB, VB Script / Excel Macro
Databases (1 of the following)
MS SQL, ORACLE
Tools (Based on Priority – High to Low)
Quality Centre, QC QuickTest Pro (QTP), Load Runner, RapidSQL, Autosys,
Jira,  WinRunner, SQL Loader, Humming Bird, Mercury Test Director
Operating Systems (Required)
Unix / Linux, Windows
