These systems include data acquisition, data quality assessment and control, data storage, and data delivery. Typical components include Extraction, Transformation and Loading (ETL), data modeling, and data delivery tools. Data delivery tools include MicroStrategy, mobile applications, web-based delivery, web services, and more. *Essential Functions:* The following are intended to be examples of the duties for which the person in this position is responsible. This description is not intended to be complete or all-inclusive and does not preclude management from assigning other or related functions for which the individual has demonstrated competency through performance. · *Data modeling of Operation Data Store (ODS), data mart, reporting, and transactional databases* based on system requirements. · Create and maintain database objects such as stored *procedures, triggers, views, functions, tables,* etc to meet requirements. · Create and maintain *Microsoft SSIS packages for data integration, data extraction, and data loading* to meet requirements. · Work with customers for data consumption development and prototyping. · Contribute to system design. · Participate in Agile team activities. · Participate in *release management.* · *DevOps, automation and tooling.* · Ability to learn new technologies and concepts with minimal guidance · Strong investigative, analytical and problem solving skills · Regular and reliable attendance · Must be able to work on-site in the San Diego office · Other duties as assigned *Secondary Accountabilities:* Remains aware of evolving needs and opportunities, showing flexibility in doing whatever is appropriate to support the Company’s success. Performs all other related duties as required and assigned and understands that the items in this description are not all-inclusive. *Qualifications:* · Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Technology *Experience:* · 5-7 years database development, including data modeling · 3-5 years software development · 1-3 years of production SSIS development *Skills/ Knowledge/ Abilities:* *Required:* · Strong collaborator · Strong experience with SQL Server technology stack · Strong data modeling skills · Strong knowledge of SQL and T-SQL · Experience with SSIS · Experience on a production team using C# or other Object Oriented Language · Conscientious, self-driven contributor · Strong written and verbal skills *Preferred:* · Knowledge of Data Warehouse and BI Reporting concepts · Experience with web development and web services a definite plus · MicroStrategy experience · Life Sciences industry experience · Experience with HIPAA compliance Job Requirements: *Physical & Mental Requirements:* *Essential Physical & Mental Requirements:* · This position will require the following physical requirements; sitting (75%), walking (15%), standing (10%), lifting up to (10 pounds) · This position will require the following mental requirements; *Ability to reason through problems to reach solutions, troubleshooting ability, effective written and verbal communications skills and ability to see, type, speak on phone and work with various departments within the company.* *Additional Physical & Mental Requirements:* · This position will require the following mental requirements; while performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to high pressure/high stress situations.
