Title: Senior/ Lead ETL DataStage Designer posted on 2014-09-17 22:36:00 Job Description:*Title: Senior/ Lead ETL DataStage Designer* *Location: Peoria, IL* *Duration: 12+ Months* Summary: We are in need of an ETL DataStage Designer. This person must have a very strong background in ETL development and design, therefore we are interested in individuals with prior designer skills and a proven track record of project execution. We need someone with at least 7 years of experience. The specific job will be part of an Agile project methodology, so the ability to re-prioritize is critical. The specific job will be a member of the Procurement Agile team. *Job Responsibilities:* § Design, code, test, and debug programs of varying levels of complexity. § Acts as team leader for development and support groups. § Provide project management, programming, and systems leadership, guidance and assistance to other team members. § Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design and potential impact while cognizant of time and cost constraints. § Performs implementation and integration tasks for medium to large, complex in-house developed or purchased software solutions. § Work with vendors on integration of purchased application solutions. § Complex application problem identification and resolution, including off-shift and weekend support functions. § Assist customers with documentation, training, and usability efforts. Prioritize, manage, and track team workload progress as required. *MUST HAVE:* 5-7 years of ETL tools experience 3-5 years of Information Server experience 3-5 years of working with ETL into Teradata & IBM MDM tools Experience as a product expert for implementation of Information Server products. Provides guidance on best practices. Experience with end to end design & development of standards for Information Analyzer, DataStage & QualityStage Experience with test strategy, test plan, test cases, and testing Experience with integrating with Quality Stage real-time module Experience with configuration of Business Glossary & implementation of business metadata definitions Experience with design & implementation of Metadata Workbench Experience with a Distributed Scheduling Tool Experience with Application Development Lifecycle/Methodology Excellent communication skills *Team leader experience* - need somebody who has experience with coordinating team activities with on-site & off-site resources Experience translating high-level requirements into detailed technical designs Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent training required.
