Position: Network Security Engineer Location is: Little Rock, Arkansas
Duration : 3 months Right to Hire Travel: No Start Date: ASAP US CITIZENS OR GREEN CARD HOLDERS ONLY An opening for a Network Security Engineer. This position requires a candidate with extensive experience in supporting electric utilities security requirements as well as government and regulatory mandates for critical infrastructures. The candidate must have strong technical and communication skills that will allow them to directly support all aspects of a Security infrastructure from a centralized location. The candidate must have *extensive security infrastructure*engineering experience as well as a Microsoft Windows, UNIX, Checkpoint Firewalls, Juniper firewalls, PIX firewalls, Bluecoat Proxies, Juniper Intrusion Prevention devices, Certificate authority support, and wireless switch Security Management. This individual will have day-to-day responsibilities that include monitoring, optimizing, problem resolution, root cause analysis, and managing all aspects of access to specified systems. This position will interface directly with the Service Level Coordinators and is responsible for communicating the technical facts and issues to all parties involved. Participation in an on-call rotation schedule and after hours work is a requirement for the person accepting this position. Key success factors include: the ability to quickly learn; the ability to troubleshoot access issues, the ability to adhere to the change management process, the ability to work in a team environment, the ability to engineer and implement security infrastructures. *Bachelor's degree in a related field and 4-6 years experience* in a broad range of assignments in technical tasks directly related to the proposed area of responsibility or equivalent years of experience. The Security Engineer candidate *must demonstrate a complete understanding of Data and Network Security* and how to *implement Security across a utilities corporate network*, Scada networks, and distribution networks.
