Testing applications in Unix/ Mainframe environment
HP Quality Center (Winrunner, Loadrunner, Test Director, QTP)
Load testing and stress testing
*Pluses: *
VB Scripting experience (HUGE PLUS)
Introscope and performance center (HUGE PLUS)
Monitoring tools experience (ITCAM, Tivoli, Openview)
*Day to Day: *
This candidate will be working with the developers so communication skills
must be strong.
Conduct Stress Testing: This person will load/ stress test the applications
and its infrastructure to make sure that the production environment will not
be disrupted or experience performance degradation. They will use the
HP Performance Center tool to capture a script of the functions under test
in the target application. (Also using HP Performance Center console to
schedule and run as many variations as needed of load tests)
Analyze Test Results: Review & analyze the load test results to make sure
that implementation with not adversely affect the production environment.
Recommendations: Give analysis and recommendations of load test
modifications and final recommendations of possible infrastructure and
application modifications. They will provide and maintain an on-going
status report of the application load testing activities. Also, they will
produce a final risk assessment.
