*JOB DESCRIPTION:*

The SAS Administrator's role is to manage Enterprise SAS advance analytics
platform which includes but not limited to user support, security, client
installs, application server maintenance (hotfix/patch and version
management, etc.). This position is involved in the creation of new tables,
maintenance of the existing tables, and will be optimizing data mart
resources for queries and for reporting purposes. Responsible for
administrative access to the environments to support the business users and
help to manage user access to the data. This Candidate assists the
company's SAS user community with SAS client tools including SAS DI Studio
and SAS Enterprise Guide to resolve outstanding issues.

*Responsibilities: *

   - Support creation of the security scheme and implementation of security
   profiles.
   - Administration and auditing of user access and security.
   - Serve as the primary point of contact for SAS to independently assist
   in troubleshooting all SAS Analytic Tool issues.
   - Create and maintain user profiles and groups consistent with security
   restrictions and performance considerations.
   - Perform ongoing technical assessment of database environments for
   operational considerations including performance, capacity, redundancy,
   stability and security. Partner with operational teams on implementations
   that address issues and productivity.
   - Provide technical leadership for data warehousing and data
   architecture for the SAS business intelligence products and systems.
   Provide insight to the DBAs on Design, development and upgrade of
   databases, ETLs, schemas, automation of data quality rules, ER designs,
   naming conventions, optimized queries and indexing.
   - Provide support of nightly ETL/ELT processes to ensure timely
   completion and availability of data in data warehouse for reporting use.
   Analyzes and resolves problems and provides technical assistance as in
   necessary.
   - Perform root cause analysis to provide solutions to problems.
   - Support database capacity and utilization planning.
   - Analyze project requirements and develop detailed specifications for
   new and existing SAS data warehouse reporting requirements with the ability
   to understand performance, quality and schedule considerations.
   - Design, document and implement usage best practices and guidelines for
   the SAS platform.
   - Participate in design reviews and provide input to the design
   recommendations; provide input to information/data flow, understand and
   comply with Project Life Cycle Methodology in all planning steps.
   - Partner with TWAI Operations on defining load balancing, clustering,
   mirroring, disaster recovery, data archiving, and backup policies and
   solutions.
   - Debug, Investigate and fix the issues that may appear in the code
   running in Production.
   - Ensure high quality deliverables and smooth day-to-day operations of
   projects within timely fashion.

*Required Expertise: *

   - 6+ years of experience as a SAS Administrator Understanding of the SAS
   9.x Architecture (preferably SAS 9.4) in a multi-tier environment.
   - 6+ years of experience as SAS system administration encompassing
   entire SAS suite of tools with in-depth understanding of SAS Grid,
   application server, web server, web application server, stored process
   server, in a load-balancing server cluster environment.
   - Experience with Security and Authentication topics (related to the
   access of source data, the access of data within SAS on the SAS servers
   across the different business organizations.
   - Manage metadata system backups, software upgrades, and maintenance
   releases, license renewals
   - Foundation SAS 9.4
   - Base SAS programming.
   - SAS Macro programming.
   - SAS/ACCESS to multiple data sources (Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, and
   ODBC).
   - SAS Data Integration Studio.
   - Hands on experience in developing sophisticated data flows.
   - Hands on experience with various transformations in SAS DI Studio.
   - Hands on experience with job deployment and scheduling.
   - Experience with metadata management, project repositories, and job
   migration through development, test, and production.
   - Job documentation.
   - SAS Enterprise Guide.
   - Experience with SAS software administration; including software
   configuration, updates, patches, and hotfixes and license renewals as
   needed.
   - Experience with SAS Management Console to define connections to data
   sources, define libraries, and create metadata objects and folder
   structures.
   - Must have project experience with implementing advanced SAS coding
   techniques to optimize performance and have developed best practices for
   efficient coding due to constraints of hardware storage and memory.
   - Review SAS system logs to insure metadata and system configuration
   files for anomalies
   - Proven prioritization skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent
   projects and meet simultaneous deadlines.
   - Good understanding of back-end services architecture on SAS Compute
   and Metadata tiers.


*Preferred Expertise: *

   - Good written and spoken communication skills in English.
   - Strong communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills are mandatory.
   - Ability to work independently.
   - Experience and knowledge in HealthCare Service is an added advantage.
   - Manage and track work effort against a pre-determined timeline.
