*They must have recent exp with MS Dynamics AX* Position: SQL Server BI Developer Location: Houston, TX Type: 1 year contract JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Gather and centralize data from multiple sources to create enterprise-level multidimensional databases for online analytical processing capabilities. Work effectively with internal business clients to find creative solutions to satisfy complex business analytics requirements. Apply electric utility industry knowledge to work efforts. Research and document data models from various source systems; Ensure that collected BI data is accurate and complete. Apply technical expertise in all aspects of online analytical processing (OLAP). MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 5 years of overall business intelligence experience required. Experience in the electric utility or deregulated retail electricity industry required. Recent experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX 2+ years Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle Database experience. Specific experience with the following technology is required: Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS); Microsoft SQL Server Data Tools (for Extract, Transform and Load (ETL)); Microsoft SQL Reporting Services (SSRS); Microsoft SQL Analysis Services (SSAS); Multidimensional Expressions (MDX); Microsoft Transact-SQL and Oracle PL/SQL; Extensible Markup Language (XML), XML Schema Definition (XSD), Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformations (XSLT), XML Path Language (XPath) and XQuery; Microsoft Excel (Power Pivot, particularly); and Microsoft PowerPoint (Power View, particularly). DESIRED SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE: A bachelor’s degree in computer science and/or statistics strongly preferred. Programming experience (VB.NET, C# or Java) a plus. MCSE: Business Intelligence Solution Expert certification or equivalent certification a plus.
