*Kindly Reply on: lisa.d...@itbtalent.com <lisa.d...@itbtalent.com>* Raleigh, NC Duration: 01/01/2015 to 07/31/2015 This position will support critical public web systems. support the day-to-day operations, maintenance; analysis and resolution of issues; bug fixes and upgrades. These systems are 24x7 business critical applications that generate millions in revenue. Some of these systems processes credit cards and requires daily monitoring, auditing, and reporting in addition to yearly mandated legislative updates. Ongoing modifications to these systems are required to adhere to legislative mandates, state law changes, and changes in business. This position is being requested because all permanent state personnel are assigned to other projects and are not available for critical operations & maintenance on these systems. Prefer local candidates. Must be within driving distance of Raleigh, NC (two to three hours) Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements: Technical Skills: • Proven experience in the following: . • Strong understanding of SQL and relational database technologies such as MS SQL Server, including database design, T-SQL, stored procedures, and triggers, etc • Proficiency using Visual Studio 2013 and a Source Control Solution like GIT or Team Foundation Server • Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting Windows/IIS platform experience is required • Strong exposure to object oriented design and development is necessary • Experience with community based .NET frameworks like nLog, log4net, nunit, etc is a plus Communication Skills: • Self-motivated and self-driven is a must with the ability to work with limited supervision • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal • Able to lead and motivate others to accomplish a common goal • Experience working directly with clients is a plus Responsibilities: • Consult with clients and help produce and define business requirement for new applications • Create milestones and project timeline estimates • Design, code and test new Windows and web software applications. Must be able to develop an application from conception through the entire Development Lifecycle. • Maintain existing software systems by identifying and correcting software defects.
