*Systems Analyst for Infrastructure Support -Position* 4 - Position will perform duties including but not necessarily limited to the following for Smart Grid: * Liaison to Technical Groups of City ISD, GWP IT, Third Party Product and Service Vendors * Server Administration including planning, implementation, administration and support of hardware and operating systems * Oversee all Smart Grid Applications * Responsible for all Software Upgrades and Patches * Responsible for all Change Control * Responsible for DR Site Maintenance * Responsible for Disaster Recovery Procedures / Testing * Administer AVAMAR Backup System * Create and maintain Technical and Operational Documentation * Perform System Reconciliations * Administer Updates and Refreshes of Test Systems * Coordinate Work of Application Support Staff * Backs up Technical Application Support * Support ESB as a Platform * Provide ESB as a Service to Applications Analysts ESB Middleware Support (Part-time 20 hours weekly) - Position will perform duties including but not necessarily limited to the following for Smart Grid: * Liaison to Technical Groups of City ISD, GWP IT, Third Party Product and Service Vendors * ESB Administration including planning, implementation, administration and support of Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) * Integration of all Smart Grid Applications with ESB * Responsible for all ESB Software Upgrades and Patching * Maintain Smart Grid Interfaces with ESB * Responsible for all Change Control within ESB * Creation and maintenance of Technical and Operational Documentation * Support ESB as a Platform * Provide ESB as a Service to Applications Analysts Position Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Systems Analyst for Infrastructure Support * Create and manage the Project with Microsoft Project * Manage Microsoft Active Directory * Must be available to work on-site at all times * Five (5) years experience required in Red Hat Linux, Windows 2*k OS, data infrastructure, server maintenance/LAN administration, and associated server / LAN system certifications (MSCE, CNE, etc). * BS Degree Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent education / experience. * Five (5) years experience as a full-time Linux administrator. Experience in administering UNIX/Linux servers attached to Fiber Channel SAN. * Five (5) years experience as a full-time Windows Server administrator. Experience in administering Windows servers attached to Fiber Channel SAN. * Experience in administering UNIX/Linux servers hosting databases (Oracle preferred). Experience in scripting using Bash or PERL. * Knowledge of VMWare virtualization desirable. * Excellent verbal and written skills: ability to communicate with multiple skill levels, vendors, management, IT professionals in a clear manner. Strong documentation and reporting skill-set: attention to detail required. * Ability to adhere to change-management processes with minimal oversight. * Ability to work in fast-paced environment with changing dynamics and multiple customer/ client requirements. * A drive to learn / expand current skill-sets with a positive team-building skill-set, and works well in a team-based environment. Understands how to implement cross-training, and knowledge sharing in a team-based environment. * Project Management skill-sets including time estimates, milestones managed amidst support requirements, comfortable with Software Development Life Cycles, environment promotions (PROD, DR, DEV/TEST), proven ability to handle multiple tasks / projects simultaneously. * Production application and network support / on-call experience. * Desirable Hardware/Software Exposures i) Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.3, X86-64 ii) Windows Server 2K3 iii) EMC Symmetrix V-Max Series Storage iv) EMC CLARiiON CX3 Series Storage v) Dell PowerEdge 7X0 & 6X0 Servers vi) Brocade SAN Switches vii) Cisco Catalyst Ethernet Switches viii) VMware ESX 4
