Test Lead/Manager Columbia, Maryland, United States 6+ months contract Job Description • Help develop, implement, and institutionalize testing processes • Coordinates all testing activities for planning and preparation of User Acceptance Testing. Manages all risks associated to testing and takes preventative measures to ensure project milestones are met. The planning/controlling/reporting of daily and weekly meetings is required. • Analyze business and system requirements to develop test strategy including test plans. Also, develop test cases/scripts and business scenarios which involves educating testers from the business units on HF's standardized approach. • Facilitate the process of creating test cases and ensure Best Practices are followed. • Identifies and tracks improvements to the testing process and works towards their implementation • Coordinate the automation testing and performance testing as per the delivery schedule • Delivering the test project on time and within budget while meeting all quality objectives • Bachelor's degree in related area or 10+ years relevant work experience. • Minimum of 6+ years in a hands-on experience in leading a qa testing team • Familiar with sdlc, test life cycle & defect management processes • Strong knowledge of defect tracking systems & test management tools • Experience in automated testing methodologies, frameworks and tools. • This position demands experience in managing a testing team/ interacting with clients & development peers. Candidate must possess strong advanced QA & software testing experience Required Skills • Bachelor's degree. • Intermediate Testing Tools (ex. HP quality center). • Intermediate Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Excel skills. • Basic Microsoft Project and PowerPoint skills. • Solid interpersonal/communication skills. • 5+ years of strong/direct testing background. • Work experience with a Test Tool.
