Send me profiles : ar...@vedicsoft.com *Looking for USC /GC* *Job Title: Data Center Operations Technician* *Location : Corning , NY * *Duration : 6 +months * Job description : *Roles and Responsibilities:* · Understand, troubleshoot, and fix broken servers/Linux OS related issues on server. · Work in teams to deploy new data center infrastructure. · Install new servers, design rack layout and power allocation. · Help test and troubleshoot new server hardware components and designs. - Building Windows-based operating systems, device configuration. - Device troubleshooting to include power cycles/reboots. - Assist SunGard Centralized Operations/Engineering. · Drive specifications for tools that facilitate administration of servers spanning multiple data centers, to include automation and streamlining of processes · Help to develop global standards and promote best practices in data center operations · Assist in tracking data center issues and keeping servers alive and serving · Introduce process improvements and encourage best practices in data center operations · Predict data center growth and scaling issues before they occur and implement solutions · Provide cross-functional communication with other technical operations groups - Follow existing processes and use standard methodologies to carry out assigned tasks - Performs other related duties as assigned by management *Educational Requirements: * - Associate’s degree is required; Bachelor's degree preferred. - A+, MCSE, and/or CCNA certifications preferred *Required Years and Area of Experience* - *3+ years experience in data center infrastructure, installation and configuration* - *Hands on experience with Tru64 and/or AS400* *- Hands on experience with Linux and MS operating systems* Best Regards, *Arjun Kanakoti * *VEDICSOFT* | *Business Intelligence.
