If the opportunity interests you and want to apply for the position, please revert to this mail with recent copy of your resume. *Role - Cloud Architect/Video Architect Duration: 1 Year* *Location: Skokie, IL (This person can work REMOTE after training onsite)* *Interview: Phone and if the person is not local- the client will pay to fly them onsite (DON'T ASK IF "SKYPE ONLY" IS POSSIBLE BECAUSE THE ANSWER IS NO)* * MUST HAVE:* *1) Design and architecture within virtual platforms* *2) Programming in C/C++* *3) Real-time video application experience* *4) Migration of video applications from Physical to Virtual servers* Responsibilities include defining new hardware and software networking platforms, interfaces with other embedded software functions, and implements media networking protocols. Position plays a key role in developing server platforms for hosting company control, monitoring, and processing software. · Architect high-availability applications for private or hybrid cloud environments. · Contributes to the definition of new networking technologies, seeking common platforms through which devices can elegantly connect across product lines. · Makes recommendations for acquiring networking components with licensed, open-source, or internal development. · Collaborate with Product Marketing and Systems to virtualize certain capabilities of new products. · Creates traffic models and real product scenarios using network simulation tools. · Collaborate across engineering departments and supervise the activities of lower-level Engineers. · Writes software unit tests and functional test scripts and develops system test plans with Software Quality. · Provides regular status updates to management. · Estimates, organizes, and document tasks, estimating project deliverables and adhering to project schedules. · Reviews designs and code developed by peer engineers. · Communicates detailed technical issues with technical and non-technical audiences, both verbally and in written form. *Performs other duties as assigned:* · Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Network Engineering or related field with an emphasis in server applications.
