*Job title:** QA Engineer* *Location:** Menlo Park, CA (Local candidates only)* *Type: **6-9 month contract* *Rate: **$37/hr on C2C* * Interview process: *Phone interview with client, onsite interview with client Client is currently looking for a QA Engineer in Menlo Park CA. This is a 12 month contract. This Quality Analyst Engineer will design and implement QA processes and deliverables, create test strategies, plans and cases and will perform hands on testing to ensure continuous improvement in the quality of applications, software and peripherals. Responsibilities include: • Design and implement the Quality Assurance Processes and deliverables during development lifecycle process • Create test strategies, plans and test cases • Perform hands on testing, to include regression testing, of SCH applications, peripherals and software • Drives continuous improvement in the quality of SCH Applications, peripherals and software, as experienced by customers • Ensures quality goals and performance measurements are met • Drives investigation, capture, root cause failure analysis, containment, corrective actions and process improvements to prevent issue recurrence • Conducts quality post-mortem and documents lessons learned and recommendations to prevent recurrence of quality issues • Program management of quality deliverables/processes during development lifecycle process, such as phase review process • Develop Quality Documentation, Process, Procedures and Work Instructions. Requirements: • Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience • Experience with Load testing and Load test tools e.g. JMeter and LoadRunner • Scripting/Coding experience to build regression test scripts for applications, desktop, etc. Unix shell scripting is preferred. • Hardware compatibility testing: Familiarity with PC hardware and technology.
