The candidate will be a part of a team supporting the hosted environment for our client applications and provide preventative support, integration and infrastructure automation initiatives. This role will require strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, experience in integrating multiple technology platforms and brands of products, solid communication skills and tackle the complex problems of automation and scale which are unique to our company. This position requires a service-oriented mentality, a high sense of ownership of the problems and requests assigned, a focus on managing and resolving issues in alignment with the SLAs, establishing and maintaining communication with technology customers to keep them updated with status of their requests, initiating and performing changes on production systems and proactively escalating any issues that cannot be resolved within the established timeframes. *Major Responsibilities/Essential Functions:* · Management, maintenance and architecture of virtualized and non-virtualized infrastructure, not limited to servers, storage and productivity tools · Proactively manage systems and identify performance issues proactively · Develop, support and maintain the automation of infrastructure and the “infrastructure as a service” effort · Interfacing with multiple teams such as Network Engineering, Security, Database Services, Devops and Application Development in their infrastructure and automation needs · Active role in planning future infrastructure architecture and automation features · Documentation and communicating all infrastructure changes · Participation in 24X7 on call rotation *Minimum Requirements:* · Solid understanding of Linux operating systems such as Ubuntu, CentOS and Red Hat, Windows OS is a plus · Strong virtualization experience with VMWare and other virtualization platforms · Solid overall technical background in hosted services environment including infrastructure networks and hardware such as Cisco UCS and EMC storage devices · Strong BCP/DR experience · Working knowledge of the following technologies Windows AD/AGDLP, DNS and DHCP · Solid understanding of Linux scripting languages such as Python and BASH, PowerShell is a plus · Ability to learn multiple languages including but not limited to C#, PHP, JavaScript · Ability to leverage exposed APIs available with the infrastructure platforms · Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment or independently as the need arises · Good prioritization and organization when dealing with multiple projects and tasks · Ability to analyze technical issues and arrive at valid conclusions, recommendations and plans of action · Research, explore and recommend new technologies and tools *Preferred Skills:* · Experience with automation platforms such as Ansible or Chef including development of playbooks/cookbooks/recipes · Experience with open source technologies · Experience with distributive computing systems · The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the major job responsibilities (essential functions) of this job.
