Overview: The Linux Administrator Consultant provides critical supporting services to the Open Systems Engineering team, including but not limited to server patching, documentation, troubleshooting, and execution of service requests. Requirements: . Ability to perform intermediate-level support activities on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.x and 6.x. . Ability to work nights and weekends, as needed . Detail-oriented execution of tasks, including following technical directions . Proactive communication of issues to peers and leadership Qualifications: . 3 to 5 years experience as a Linux System Administrator or Engineer . Bachelor's Degree in a Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Information Systems discipline (or equivalent work experience). . Able to successfully contribute in cross-functional teams containing a mixture of technical and non-technical peers. . Broad knowledge of Unix/Linux Systems technologies and industry trends. .
