*Day-to-Day :*
Provide 24/7 support including trouble-shooting and project-related
activities. Add/install, configure, and tune storage software on all host
platforms.
Adhere to security procedures for both logical and physical protection of
servers, fiber switches and storage arrays.
Performing root cause analysis and determine the cause of problems in order
to develop a specific solution to an issue. Work with Change Control and
Availability Management to ensure corrective actions are taken.
Install and configure storage servers and related systems; assist business
users and Storage Engineers with the setup and installation of their
applications and tests within the storage environment.
Work with other technical teams to gather requirements; determine, document,
and propose viable solutions; implement the selected solution. Assume
technical responsibility for multiple projects simultaneously.
Assess and baseline the current storage environment. Calculate the data
growth rate for short and long term planning. Report on trending, use,
capacity, and performance within the Storage sub-systems and arrays.
