These roles are temporary full time roles with full health benefits and paid time off. These roles are open to support organization initiatives that are due to last through 2015. You'll join four other QA Engineers, write and maintain automated tests, participate in the release process, and do manual testing when necessary. We use an Agile Scrum development and testing process. The QA Engineers are part of the development scrum team and involved in the entire software development lifecycle. Responsibilities • Execute full QC lifecycles for software product releases. • Write and perform tests, manual and automated, feature and regression and performance tests. • Contribute to the maintenance and development of a Python-based, Selenium Webdriver/Selenium Grid test framework. • Encourage exploratory testing and a culture of quality. • Participate in software releases. • Collaborate closely with developers, product managers and others to correctly identify, prioritize and resolve issues. • Report on test results, file and track bug reports, and assist software engineers in isolating and reproducing bugs. • Final acceptance of new features and bug fixes for every release. • Work with Git and TeamCity (Continuous Integration/Build tool) to configure, monitor and diagnose build, static analysis, code coverage and test processes. • Working within an agile team to champion increased quality in the entirety of the development process. Responds well to change as befits an agile environment. Requirements • College graduate preferred, BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. • 2+ years of experience in a technical role. • Experience writing automated tests or other software using Python, Java, or similar. • Experience with a test automation framework. Experience with page-object model based frameworks a plus. • Experience building load and performance tests of web applications and reporting on the results. • Experience testing complex web applications. Experience with Java platforms, Ruby on Rails, Rspec, Cucumber and MySQL and plus. • Experience with JMeter, Loadrunner, or equivalent a plus. • Experience with source control, including checkouts, commits, merges, tagging. • Prior experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment is appreciated. • Knowledge of command line Linux. You know how to use top, find, and grep. Knowledge of tools like tcpdump, pstack, ps, lsof and strace greatly appreciated. • Likes to break things. Likes to evangelize and promote a culture of quality. Solid communication skills.
