Client project has built out an EDW for various data sets relevant to IT
(ETS – WAN/ LAN/ TELECOM). They are broadly grouped into domains like Risk
Analysis, WAN Capacity, Compliance/ Governance, Wireless Capacity, Video
Capacity, CERT/ Response, etc. The customer over the several years has
worked on building out a good data foundation. To date they only use
Crystal Reports. They started with BOBJ XI R2 and moved to 4.0 (now). They
will upgrading to 4.1 within the coming week.

Currently, client project has the BOBJ DEV server deployed (4.0 version) –
to be upgraded to 4.1. The BOBJ Production server has been procured and
will be set up and ready for use in the next few weeks.

Scope:

Review the requirements on Analytics for the following domains – WAN
Capacity and Risk Analysis. Customer is looking for guidance on the “right”
BOBJ Tools for the presentation of the data. This is primarily a top-down
view, starting with a Data Visualization and navigating to detailed
analysis via WebI/ Analysis for OLAP or Office/ Explorer. Executives are
looking for Dashboards to quickly get to actionable information. Lower
level people in the organization need access to self-service analytics
(using WebI, etc.) to get to more detail.

*Potential Deliverables:*

1 Dashboard providing an Executive view
Estimated 4 to 5 reports in WebI for WAN Capacity and Risk Analysis (w/
drill-down capability)
Integration between Dashboard and Reports for drill-down
Enable BI Workspace(s) to present the content
Potential mobile content build & deployment

*Customer to provide:*

Data Foundation
BOBJ Server & Tools (4.1)
Security, Authentication
Universes to be built by customer
