*The client need someone Local to CA and Green Card USC and EAD- TN Candidates* Position:Bio Informatics hybrid Programmer/Analyst Location: South San Francisco CA Duration:6+ Months Bioinformatics analyst with solid programming experience Skills: Scripting language experience (Perl, Python, etc.) Ability to program against REST APIs Unix/Linux proficiency Understanding of bio informatics tools, ideally experience with the GATK suite Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess many of the following: understanding of relational databases and query tools Ability to program against REST APIs Experience in creating and documenting detailed requirements, user stories/specification by example Experience working in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry Strong quantitative abilities and problem solving skills Strong attention to detail and process follow-through Able to work both independently and cross-functionally Excellent organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills; excellent communicator with active-listening skills. Ability to analyze and define business requirements and translate into technical solutions. Education Bachelor’s, Master, or PHD, degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Biotechnology, Biology, Agronomy, or other related degree. 3+ years of Business Analysis experience in Science related field.
