Duration of Project : 6 to 9 months with possibility of extension Location : Holland - MI (Preferred) or Plymouth - MI Number of Analysts : One Start date : (Immediate) Rate: $42/Hr Under general direction, plans, conducts, and executes shop floor production support to AE Manufacturing plants and IT projects with significant magnitude and scope usually involving integration among diverse systems. Works independently to meet customer needs. Principle Duties. 1. Identifies, investigates, and recommends improvements in products, systems, or processes to improve the application or operation. Create Functional specifications document for improvements to operating processes to fulfill business needs. Familiarity with Business Process Modeling , documenting the AS-IS process, gap analysis on AS-IS, TO-BE process, performance and system metrics and getting consensus on the TO-BE process from business stakeholders and other IT Teams. 2. Participates in projects or system enhancements within time and budgetary constraints. Take initiative to recommend projects, systems, or operational processes. 3. Performs shop floor system and server upgrades as needed on weekends and executes all conversion steps per plan and direction from team lead. 4. Supports AE manufacturing plants on shop floor system as needed. The support is provided 24/7 by the team and shop floor analyst will be required to carry pager /cell on weekends and holidays as per support rotation schedule. 5. Performs Business Process Testing and Integration test on new enhancements and projects. Documents all use cases, test cases and smoke test in Quality Center. 6. Meets with Plants, Supply Chain and other IT functional/technical team members to review new requirements and projects. Qualifications Position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience doing Business Analyst work and has worked on a shop floor, ERP and manufacturing execution system. . Experience with Automotive industry and hands-on work in supporting and implementing shop floor and MES systems using Sequencing, ILVS, RAN/DON and Batch processing. . Familiarity with MS Query, SQL Developer, Writing SQL statement and remote log-in to Windows server using Dameware and Remote Desktop. . Experience with Oracle databases, SQL Server, MQ Series, XML and Loftware. . Must have excellent communication, organization, documentation, coordinating and teamwork skills. . In this role must be able to work independently and be very thorough and detail orientated in his / her deliverables. . Role requires experience working on projects that have interactions with other application systems and services. . Must have worked with XML, MQ series, Flat files, Telnet session like reflections, UNIX and Windows Server. . Experience with printing using Intemec printers, RF Scanners and Loftware labels.
