*Position: Checkpoint Network Security Engineer* *Location: Framingham, MA (Must be Local)* *Duration: 1 year * *Need GC or USC* *We can now use H1’s for the role. * *We do feel ecommerce or retail **experience would still be very helpful for the role.* *Also candidate should have e-commerce or Retail experience.* *Description:* Build Checkpoint 2200s. Run R77.10/R77.20, these firewalls will be built out with 3 Virtual Firewalls. Coordinate with installing groups is required to update policies, handle store relocations, configurations of interfaces when new equipment is brought online, and troubleshooting general connectivity issues. Once the rollout is complete, the position will be responsible for ongoing Retail changes and troubleshooting. *Skills required:* Checkpoint Experience, up to and including R77. Will consider experience with lower versions as long as its recent. *Responsibilities:* Implement and operate secure infrastructure for critical applications Define infrastructure requirements for the implementation of new applications and projects Work in collaboration with other departments or organizations to develop and analyze systems in support of their projects or mission, then upgrade or enhance the infrastructure to meet their requirements Provide 3rd level technical support for complex production systems and services Lead projects and efforts that require specialized infrastructure skills Work with the various project stakeholders to facilitate implementation and completion of the projects Proactively monitor infrastructure for optimal performance and provide input for capacity planning and fine tune infrastructure when needed May act as project manager in area of expertise Lead in the evaluation of new products and services May execute specific activities related to the improvement or performance of systems infrastructures Identifies areas where existing policies and procedures require change or where new ones need to be developed. Maintains all relevant documentation. Participates in related industry organizations and special interest groups. Maintains relationships with 3rd party technical support engineers/teams. Rotating off hour on-call support required.
