(Local candidates preferred)* The IT informatics team requires an ETL programmer to design and build a process that pulls data from the internal surveillance systems SQL Server databases, coverts the information to HL7 the Generic v2 message mapping guide formatted messages to spend to the CDC. The process must be flexible and easily configured for other HL7 formats if requirements from the CDC change. The process must also track that the messages are sent and received and send notifications if there are any issues. The programmer must fully document the process, aid with testing and train others on its use. Review requirements and draft technical specifications Develop a process that pulls data from the internal surveillance systems’ SQL Server databases, coverts the information to HL7 the Generic v2 message formatted messages to spend to the CDC. Aid with testing the process Write thorough documentation of the final process to aid others in use and maintenance Train DOHMH staff on the use and maintenance of the process Mandatory Skill/Expertise 4 + years ETL programmer Exp with HL7 Experience developing in Microsoft SQL 2008R2/2012R2 environment using SQL and SSIS. Experience with XML, SOAP and Web services. Familiarity with HL7, CDA, or CCD specifications. Desirable Skill/Expertise Expertise in ETL tools like Pentaho, SSIS, Informatica, etc. Experience with Rhapsody. Experience with HAPI web service. Familiarity with the Generic v2 message mapping guide and messaging standards like CCD, PHIN-VADS, Loinc and SNOMED. Familiarity with Java and Javascript. Familiarity with Data transport tool like PHNMS.
