*JOB TITLE: Sr. Network Engineer* *Rockville, MD* *This will be a 6-month contract with the possibility of conversion after 6 months to our client. * *Rate: $50-55/hour Max Bill rate on 1099/ C2C* *GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:* Plans and directs technological improvements and project management implementations. Manages a diverse group of functional activities, and subordinate groups of technical and administrative personnel. *MAJOR DUTIES &RESPONSIBILITIES:* Senior Non- Supervisory, Utilizes intimate understanding of data communication technologies, trends and issues to analyze sophisticated enterprise-wide communications systems design. Provide technical leadership in evaluation, design and installation of state of the art data communication environments. Understands and incorporates all aspects of the organizations information flow into the communications systems infrastructure. Utilizes in depth knowledge to diagnose and correct sophisticated communications and network problems. Designs and implements network security solutions. Configures network for voice, video and data over the infrastructure, which includes IP, ATM and Frame. Installs convergence equipment with legacy communications and LAN/WAN equipment. Integrates voicemail and Microsoft Exchange email systems and configures QoS (Quality of Service) for network optimization. Designs dial plan and implements the design in the converged network. *MINOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:* *QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB:* *Education: *Bachelors of communication engineers, providing work direction and review of all tasks. Bachelor’s Degree and 5 to 7 years’ experience. High School Diploma with 10+ years of experience.
