Ability to successfully develop conceptual, logical and physical data model; enforce quality controls on all deliverables and artifacts. Senior data modeler with experience in defining industry standard data models for Enterprise Data Warehouse, Operational data stores and Data Marts. Ability to define and apply appropriate best practices and familiar with data integration and information delivery/Business Intelligence. Ability to define and perform data profiling, data integration, class definitions, domains and naming conventions. Incorporate security, encryption and decryption techniques for data privacy and safety. Works with the development teams in the data modelling and database design of product and efficient SQL for fast application performance Develop data strategy for acquisition, archival and purge. Define cost effective storage techniques based on the data needs across the organization. Demonstrate database technical functionality, such as performance, security and reliability. Creates and maintains appropriate documentation (Database, Architecture, etc.) Develops and tests SQL scripts and stored procedures to perform data maintenance in development, test and production environments Supports the change management process with necessary associated documentation Performs source management, change management, and deployment of database objects (stored procs, triggers, etc) Design and build automations for deployments, repetitive database tasks and scheduled jobs. Researches and identifies third party tools / software / processes that improves development process Performs performance optimization of SQL and stored procedures. Implements and continuously improves the database infrastructure environment. Provides fast and value-added services to the development organization Carries out prescribed programs of computer system performance management and capacity planning for systems as designated by Management to ensure the necessary system capacity and performance is available as required for development and test environments Trains, coaches, and mentors junior team members 4 - 8 years of relevant experience in SQL Server Development/Architecture with emphasis on large scale enterprise data warehouse design Experience with SQL Server Service Broker, Integration Services, and Reporting Services Production DBA mindset with concern for performance, availability, security and managed change *** Experience working within an Agile/Scrum environment; Scrum Master skills are a significant plus.
