Some out of area travel (e.g. TX, VA) may be required but is much less likely.* *JOB Description:* *Relevant Experience Range:-* *7+ yrs of experience in Data Center project management* *Description:-* This position will be part of the *Design Build Management* (DBM) team within the Enterprise Data Center (EDC) organization. The position will report to the head of the NA DBM team and will have responsibility for *managing one or more data centre related projects*. The majority of any project work will involve internal MS coordination between Telco; Enterprise Computing, Corporate Services, and Enterprise Data Centers (EDC) on the *build-out*; plus *managing “white-space” build-out activities such as the rack /stack of equipment; network patching; equipment delivery/deployment*; and finally all other aspects of the project assigned to the *Design and Build Management (BDM) team*. · Responsible for *developing high level and low level project plans and budgets for data center projects and/or data center components of broader EI efforts*. · Responsible for the *management, coordination, and execution of all EDC assigned tasks and resources*. · Responsible for tailoring existing EDC best practices for *project and operational management* to suit the needs of this project. · Responsible for all communication on the status of the project to the rest of the IT project team, IT Silos, Corporate Services, EDC, Enterprise Projects, and other interested parties as required. · Responsible for all coordinating all activities of the projects between these same parties as well as external resources such as the Engineering Design Team, the General Contractor, etc. · Responsible for development and timely delivery of all EDC related deliverables. · Responsible for maintaining the EDC project share point site for the project documentation and information – modifying the design and function of the site as required. · *Travel will be required in the NY Metro area and NJ (Somerset, Piscataway, Newark and potentially others). Some out of area travel (e.g. TX, VA) may be required but is much less likely.
