Job Title:PHP/Drupal Developer(Drupal, PHP, JSON) Location: New York, NY Duration: 04 Months(6 Months Extendible) Mandatory Requirement(s) / Experience Listed in order of importance The candidate is required to possess more than (3) three years of experience in programming and implementation of applications using PHP and in the latest version of the Drupal environment. Skills in PHP design and programming directed mainly toward support of application development. Included in particular are: Expertise in calling REST web methods from a PHP/Drupal application framework. Understanding of JSON and XML data formats. Skills in all phases of project / application design, development, testing, quality assurance and implementation. This includes familiarity with modification of existing applications and response to mid-course corrections and changes in project requirements. Ideally, the candidate will possess some understanding of transportation terminology and practices. DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: MNR IT requires an experienced consultant to perform various aspects of PHP/Drupal application development and design encompassing method calls, data structures and objects, application executable and web method, establishment and maintenance of a suitable development environment, coordination with application developers, design and implementation of external data interfaces and documentation of the API to support the production implementation. The Candidate will provide either A proxy web service implementation that is hosted on an MTA Drupal application server which calls an internally hosted REST web service. The proxy web service will take the input JSON/XML data and output PROTOCOL BUFFER data. This method will be cacheable by the application server. An application that is hosted on an MTA Drupal application server which polls at a variable frequency, no greater than 40 seconds, an internally hosted REST web service. The application will convert the JSON/XML data input into a PROTOCOL BUFFER output as a file.
