Cisco Consultant

6+ Months
*Must have: Cisco LAN/WAN network and Cisco Networking Certifications (ex.
CCNA, CCNP, etc.)*
Basic Qualifications
Minimum 3+ years of experience in supporting Cisco LAN/WAN network
communication technologies.
Minimum of 2+ years of experience in supporting Aruba, Aerohive, or Cisco
Wireless networks with the ability to design and deploy complex wireless
solutions.
Minimum 3 years of experience in supporting Cisco Voice/UC technologies.
Candidate must have solid hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst Nexus
switch products lines.
Advanced knowledge of Ethernet, TCP/IP, ACL’s, STP, VTP, SNMP, HSRP,
Multicast/PIM, OSPF, and BGP.
Working knowledge of Quality of Service with ability to troubleshoot and
support end to end policies.
Extensive experience with protocol analysis, network analyzers, and packet
capture devices.
Understanding of Riverbed Steelhead WAN optimization technologies.
Familiar with SAN’s, UNIX, Windows systems, and their networking
capabilities.
Able to work independently, but communicate well within a team.
Strong interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members,
communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
Ability to effectively document technical systems and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Force10, Extreme Networks, Arista Networks, Juniper, and
Aerohive network technologies.
Advanced knowledge of network support tools such as CA Spectrum, eHealth,
Splunk, Riverbed Cascade, InfoBlox, Endace, Fluke Optiview XG, ClearSight,
Wireshark, Aruba Clearpass, Cisco ACS, and Splunk.
Experience with MPLS, WAN Circuit types (PRI, BRI, Dark Fiber, DS3), and
CWDM multiplexing.
Experience in supporting Cisco Voice/UC technologies.
Advanced scripting and automation skills (Perl, TCL, shell scripting,
VBscript, etc).
Knowledge of network security technologies (Palo Alto, IDS/IPS, firewalls,
IPsec, etc).
Strong presentation/public speaking skills.
Strong problem management skills.
