Position : ETL/QA Tester Location : Reston VA Duration : 6 Months Interview : face to face Requirement: Mid level requirement Requirement is as follows: Expertise in QA Testing in distributed Unix/Windows Environment and Oracle/SQL server databases as back end, Performed end-to-end testing. Expertise in extended validation of report functionality developed, using Cognos, Business Objects, by writing complex SQLs at the backend. 3+ years with SQL/PL-SQL and expertise in writing complex SQL Queries. Experienced SQL Data Analyst / Data Reporting Analyst with strong background in design, development, and support of online databases and information products as well as data analysis / reporting / processing. Extensive experience in ETL process consisting of data transformation, sourcing, mapping, conversion and loading. Well versed with Manual and Automated Testing methodologies and principles. Proficient in SQL server, Perl, UNIX and Korn Shell Scripting. Optimizing/Tuning several complex SQL queries for better performance and efficiency. Prepared test data by modifying the sample data in the source systems, to cover all the requirements and scenarios. Reviewed the mappings to ensure the transformation rules are applied correctly. Written Test Cases for ETL to compare Source and Target database systems. Junior Requirement Responsibilities Provide accurate and timely logging of issues to the bug logging system. Accurately report findings to the Lead and Manager for all the assigned tasks. Qualifications At least a Bachelor’s degree and 3-6 years of proven manual software testing experience in a functional QA team performing White Box testing of Web Applications in GUI and Data Layer. Extensive working knowledge of SQL and databases is required. Prior experience working/manipulating/parsing data files is preferred. Experience in cross browsers/ cross platforms is required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Able to prioritize multiple workloads and deliver timely results. Ability to work in a team setting. Superior attention to details. Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking skills and a logic-based approach to problem solving.
