Position : Junior UI Developer Location : Raleigh, NC Duration :6 Months Description : Design, development, implementation, and support of the various city custom application applications, supporting systems, and databases. Perform analysis, design, development, implementation, documentation, maintenance and support of custom developed applications; including working with other City departments, Civic Groups, the County and other municipalities on cooperative application development projects. Supports Enterprise customers, including but not limited to, technical support for complex hardware/application problems; installation and upgrade of software and serves as liaison between users and vendor technical support staff on complex technical issues. Research and maintain technical knowledge in current applications and theory related to computer programming and other business system technology standards and tools. Required Skills: 1-3 Years’ experience in application development using other structured methods and programming techniques using JavaScript. Experience in application development using other structured methods and programming techniques using, but not limited to, Python, HTML, CSS. Proficient in the methods, practices and techniques of UX design. Familiarity with GitHub or other source control tools. Experience with real time data, apis, web mapping apis, web services, and visualizations. Experience with software development lifecycle. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with co-workers, contractors, vendors, other agencies and the public. Detail oriented and self-directed, with excellent analytical and programming skills and the ability to use pragmatic problem solving skills and sound judgment when diagnosing and resolving problems. Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to convey technical material to audiences with varying familiarity with the subject matter. Proficient in Microsoft business applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
