C2C * Quality Consulting Performance Test Engineer This is a position in Quality Assurance responsible for leading the strategic planning, development, and execution of performance testing initiatives. This is a position in Quality Assurance responsible for leading the development and execution of performance testing solutions. This position works with management to apply performance strategies, plan, execute effective and efficient performance testing to accomplish on-time and efficient delivery. *QA COE:* The QA COE (Center of Excellence) team is a shared services group dedicated to supporting QA and other lines of business across all Risk locations by providing both Automation and Application Performance solutions. The group works closely with all Risk QA departments for automation and performance initiatives regarding designing and implementing these solutions as well as supports QA with administrative and technical support for all tools being utilized. The COE team provides mentoring in the areas of automation and performance toolset available to help grow our teams internally with their skills. The group is the hub for Automation and Performance standards and best practices within QA and works closely with all QA engineers on these initiatives. Also the team’s responsibility is to proactively research and evaluate existing and newer technologies that allows for more efficient and quality testing against our products. *Required Skills/Knowledge:* · Required 5-7 years scripting with various protocols in Load Runner / Performance Center · Required 5-7 years experience with VU Gen / Controllers / Analysis · Required experience with Load Runner / Performance Center / Load Testing tools · Solid Experience working with front end UI, XML, and Web Services technology · Required experience with C language (5-7 years) · Solid Experience in Database testing (Oracle, MYSQL, and/or Sybase) · Experience with at least 2 of the following .Net, C#, VC++, Java, Java Script. Perl, · Project Leadership Experience · High Level Expertise in Technical/Troubleshooting · Great Communications Skills · Solid Experience of Windows / Linux Administration *Desired:* · Experience in Performance, Capacity, and Regression test procedures · Experience working with a distributed team (Cross-Team communications/workings (Ops/Dev/Project Mgt) · Project Leadership experience · Source code Repository (SVN) · Knowledge of QA and SDLC Methodology · Familiarity with Security Testing Process a plus · Mobile IOS/Android Automation Tools · Familiarity with Selenium *Accountabilities * · Develops and executes automated and performance testing for large or multiple diverse projects to successfully and consistently enable delivery of high quality software products and services on time, on budget and to specification, reacting quickly to changes in priorities or circumstances to meet the needs of the business. · Interfaces with Product Management, Project Management, Engineering, and Operations teams to plan testing for delivery of products and enhancements and to assure products meet product requirements and quality standards. Innovates process improvements that enable efficient delivery and maintenance with consistent direction. · Works with QA staff, project managers, technical leads, and subject matter experts to plan and execute automated and performance tests. Reports issues and results, researching and identifying root causes as appropriate, documenting accordingly. Ensures that testing addresses requirements as agreed with other stakeholders. · Researches available tools and leads or participates in initiatives to identify and implement those that will cost-effectively enhance testing capabilities and product quality. Identifies opportunities to apply existing automation or other tools to meet testing needs. · May work with architects, developers, and network and system engineers to research and identify root causes to performance issues. · In cooperation with management, assists with the professional development of other QA staff through mentoring, training, and information sharing. Communicates automation and performance capabilities so that others are aware how and when these can be applied. · Cooperates in the enhancement of the methodologies employed for test planning and execution, issue tracking, and metric and status reporting; leads or participates in continuous improvement initiatives and implementation of best practices. · Identifies areas for cooperation with other teams to improve overall quality and with peers or others implements initiatives improving testing capability and efficiency. · Configures, maintains, and/or administers testing tools or environments. 1 · Performs other duties as assigned. *Qualifications * · BS degree with computer science or engineering emphasis or equivalent; similar MS preferred. · 5-7 year’s experience in automation and performance tools and quality assurance processes. 5+ years experience in creating utilities or applying available tools for the benefit of self and others. Able to develop maintainable, high-quality, and efficient automated scripts or performance tests that meet requirements. · Proven testing skills demonstrating the ability to deliver high-quality, complex projects on time, on budget, and to specification. · Written and verbal communication skills including the ability to discuss issues and concepts with technical and business personnel.
