Specific duties of these IT professionals include, but are not limited, to: Work directly with a team of State business and development staff; utilizing programming software connected to a relational database Translate business requirements into a sound and thoroughly documented system design. Participate in and support the life cycle development of the web based applications of the currently operational WOTC system Follow the ODJFS structured software development process to design, develop and test algorithms, screens and application processes. Create technical and user documentation according to JFS standards. Assist with the system and user acceptance testing of the final product,making application program changes as directed or appropriate. Possess excellent written and oral communication skills Transfer application knowledge to ODJFS technical staff The Programmer is responsible for analysis, design, coding, component and assembly testing of all application code owned by the Application Team. Programmers typically are involved in maintenance (including production support), enhancement and development work. Programmers have a range of skills and knowledge of the technologies used and applications supported by the Application Team.
