*The consultant must be hands on and pl do not send candidates having less
than 10+ years experience. This is a senior position.*

*The client’s public Internet and private extranet sites are in the process
of being integrated onto a single technical platform with a common set of
business processes. This will enable a consistent, seamless, more targeted
user experience. This is a multi-year project which will require an
application architect leader.*

*Design & Develop critical parts of the application to be built using
WebSphere Portal. This includes developing interfaces between WebSphere
Portal and Domino, security, performance and caching, scalability, error
handling, configuration etc. Development experience with Java, J2EE,
JavaScript, WebSphere Portal and WSAD, RAD on Windows/IIS, XML, Web
Services, Web Sphere Administration, DHTML, AJAX and Web 2.0 technologies.*

*Day to Day tasks of this consultant:*

* *

• Assign, manage & review development work done by on-shore and off-shore
teams
• Ensure knowledge sharing among team members.
• Design and document solutions
• Time and effort estimation
• Prepare project plans as needed and provide high level estimates to assist
project managers in building Work Packages and Work Breakdown Structures
• Experience working directly with business partners to gather requirements,
solve problems, or design solutions.
• Ability to translate complex technical designs into language that will be
understood by the client.
• Analysis of new and existing business processes and requirements
• Resolve production issues
• Work with operations team on code deployments
• Understand and implement interoperability approaches between WebSphere &
Domino to provide business users with the best functionality
• Determine technical feasibility of approaches with Proof of Concepts to
mitigate project risks.
• Perform peer code reviews.
• Analyze existing code and remediate performance issues within existing
applications.
• Unit test modules, integration testing with other modules to deliver
quality code.
• Implement scalable solutions to meet the service levels associated with
large volumes of users or records to be processed.
• Leverage J2EE frameworks to meet business-defined processes.
• Ensure QA processes, procedures and documentation are completed on time.

*Technical Environment of the project: WebSphere Portal 6.0.3, WebSphere
Application Server 6.0.2.23, Domino 8.01*

*Requirements:*

* *

·         Over ten years Development experience on J2EE platforms with
experience building web based applications, Java, J2EE, Javascript,
WebSphere Portal and WSAD, RAD on Windows/IIS, XML, Web Services        and
Web Sphere Administration, DHTML, AJAX, Web 2.0

·         2. 7-9 years experience in the analysis, design, and development
of business applications
2, IBM Rational Application Developer and Eclipse Framework, Rational
ClearCase essential.

·         3. 4-5 years development experience with WebSphere Portlet Factory
and/or Lotus Component Designer, SQL Server and SQL Reporting Services
including knowledge of Stored Procedures, Database design, normalization,
and optimization

·         4. 2-3 years experience in Domino Development, OOAD, Design
patterns, RUP or Agile methodology, and BM or SUN certifications

·         5. 10+ years of software development experience and minimum 6
years experience in leading technical team members.

·         6. Knowledge of single sign-on solutions such as Netegrity
SiteMinder is a plus and
experience with RUP or other methodologies
