Role
Performance Tester
Mandatory Technical / Functional Skills
*Having worked on Unix commands and shell scripting.
*Having some experience of testing (like test strategy, plan, scenarios,
test cases)
*Some experience of application deployment using deployment scripts.
*Ability to learn new technical concepts quickly.
*Good Analytical and logical abilities.
* Flexible to work in shifts as well as on weekends.
* Having good communication/presentation skills required for customer
interaction.
Roles and responsibility
1. Execution of performance test steps as per the step by step Performance
test plan.
2. Execution of the scripts as part of the predefined test execution steps.
3. Testing of the application as per the test steps.
4. Documentation of the results of the test steps performed.
5. Perform updates to the file properties in Unix as per the test steps.
6. Deployment of the new application tag.
7. Configuration and execution of the performance testing tool as per the
predefined execution test steps.
8. Updating the test journal as per the test steps.
9. Results collection and copying them to the respective folders as per the
test steps.
10. Maintenance of test cases required for automated performance testing.
Desirable Technical / Functional Skills
*Having knowledge of oracle technologies Oracle 10g and PL/SQL
(Understanding of Query plans, AWR Reports etc.)
*Have worked on HP Load runner tool.
*Having knowledge of Java/J2EE technologies.
*Understanding of any version management tool like SVN, VSS etc.
