*New Position: Data Warehouse Architect * *Location: Boise, Idaho* *Interview: In person interview if local candidate OR GO TO MEETING/web interview if non-local.* *JOB DESCRIPTION* Works with the senior IT architecture team to design, implement and deploy a functional, maintainable/sustainable and scalable enterprise data warehouse. Must be able to work with a team and also independently to achieve the highest quality enterprise data warehouse. Data models and ETL must address data quality best practices and rule sets that promote data integrity. The data warehouse must be in synch with various data systems to provide reporting and data usage that is auditable, defensible and repeatable. Must have the ability to understand the reporting needs of various divisions within the agency and be able to provide a complete solution that meets the requirements of Idaho’s Department of Health & Welfare. *Agency Expected Deliverables* - Four year college degree in a technical field of study - Designs and implements data warehouse, data marts and data stores, while ensuring high level of data availability. - Designs and implements processes that meets the agreed upon performance metrics - Employs industry standard best practices in data warehouse design and implementation - Design and implement data structures and commonly used data business intelligence tools for data analysis - May evaluate database warehouse management systems and select infrastructure components such as software, hardware, database warehouse management systems and networking capabilities. - Works closing with the database architects and database administrators to ensure extract functions meet the needs of the end users - Works closely with the application development teams to ensure capture of all new data elements and process changes as they are made at the application level *Specific Skills Required (Programming languages, databases, operating systems, etc.)* Must have working knowledge of a modern welfare eligibility case management system and hands-on experience with IDHW Division of Welfare's automated eligibility system, IBES, and related components. - Experience with both Oracle and SQL Server databases. - Extensive experience designing, implementing and deploying into production an enterprise data warehouse - Experience understanding data users and data consumers, both system consumers as well as user groups - Experience complying with governmental agency and federal security reporting policies and best practices - Experience designing security at both the schema level and the accessibility level in conjunction with the DBAs - Extensive experience collaborating with the application architects, functional architects, infrastructure architects and database architects - Extensive experience defining data standards and creating data models - Experience in designing and implementing data warehouse for optimal performance and low process overhead - Extensive experience tuning ELT and reporting processes - Experience working with government agencies is required. - Experience in both strategic design of data warehouse & the ability to implement the strategy. - Excellent communication skills and hands on experience working with the database & warehouse teams. *Amit Vajpayee* *IDC Technologies, Inc Work: 408-459-3314 Mailto: * *ami...@idctechnologies.com* <a...@idctechnologies.com> * _____________________________________* *Empowering Technologies Services* *Remote Services | IT Services | BPO | * *IT Consulting | Staffing Solutions |* *_____________________________________* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP or Oracle Financials" group.
