Experience Level - 6 - 10+ Years
Duration - 12+ Months
Rate - Open
Primary or Mandatory Skills
. 3+ years as an Infrastructure Architect, including influencing
project teams in Architecture and Design.
. Experience with Unix (Solaris, Linux) and Windows operating
systems
. Experience with Sun Microsystems Enterprise class hardware.
. Experience with Microsoft Windows server OS and VMWare
. Experience with Dell and HP Server class hardware.
. Experience with Data Center storage hardware solutions such as
EMC.
. Experience with Network storage architectures (NAS, NFS, SAN, AFS,
CIFS)
. Experience with Veritas storage management and clustering products
(VXFS, VXVM, VCFS, VCS)
. Experience with security including authentication and
authorization (LDAP, Siteminder)
. Experience with common change and migration processes
. Experience with virtualization technologies such as SUN
Containers/Ldoms and ZFS, as well as VMWare in the Windows environment.
. Experience with Disaster Recovery process and procedures
. Experience with EMC Data Domain hardware and software products
. Experience with Avamar backup hardware and software
. Experience with Veritas backup products (Netbackup)
. Working knowledge of data replication techniques
Secondary or Optional Skills
. Veritas Clustering
. EMC Solutions Enabler - TimeFinder, SRDF
. Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs, with the
ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and
confidence
. Strong problem solving skills with the ability to detect
underlying patterns, identify root causes and design optimal process
solutions
. Solid leadership skills (leading, influencing experience) and the
technical coaching of others
. Ability to troubleshoot and work towards a solution with RTS teams
on high priority issues (that includes resolving performance issues and
resource conflicts)
. Solid verbal and written communication skills, including
documentation (architecture, design and training)
. Strong interpersonal skills
. Experience in translating business requirements into IT
infrastructure requirements (capacity planning and design)
