ROLE : Java Architect LOCATION : Richmond, VA
DURATION : 6+Months VISA : GC or USC DUTIES: Functions as a Developer, Deployment Specialist, and Systems Analyst in a JAVA/JBOSS environment. Responsible for Information Technology (IT) phases (inception, elaboration, construction, transition) and IT disciplines (applications and system administration, requirements gathering, analysis and design, implementation, test, deployment, change management) of the lifecycle of one or more automated IT applications, systems, and software under general direction. Applies technical skills to function as a technical or process expert on the most complex applications, systems, software, and projects. Works independently, typically with deadlines and heavy workloads. QUALIFICATIONS: Working knowledge in two or more of the following applications, systems, and software: JAVA, Eclipse, SQL Server, Hibernate, JBOSS, Tomcat, Apache HTTP, Subversion, ActiveMQ, Microsoft .NET, and Windows Server. Considerable knowledge of information systems, information security, and related systems and concepts. Ability to work within set time constraints and changing priorities. Ability to take/follow directions. Strong ability to recognize and avoid errors that can cause significant operational disruption and costs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
