Title: Sr. Java Engineer posted on 2014-11-11 23:33:18 Job Description: Job Title: Sr. Java Engineer Locations: Rancho Cordova, CA / McLean, VA Duration: Long-term Contract *JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:* 1. Performs data modeling / database design work 2. Executes new development, enhancement and maintenance of enterprise-class transactional systems and Web applications 3. Participates in all phases of full life-cycle development of the system, including requirements analysis, software design, software implementation, testing, deployment and documentation 4. Evaluates product change requests and takes appropriate action to make required changes 5. Provides guidance to entry level engineering staff 6. Conducts system analysis and development, with limited support 7. Performs functional analysis and design for small to moderate projects 8. Coordinates with other technical specialists, project managers, engineers and contractors to ensure timely and effective management of resources 9. Develops code for modules of small to large scope 10. May oversee user acceptance testing and unit testing 11. Leads group discussions with peers or external groups 12. Works with external vendors, when necessary 13. Writes concise and clear technical documents 14.
