*Location: Raleigh NC* *Duration: 12 Months ( Extendable)* The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent IT project management, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills. Position will be responsible for working with both senior-level business executives and IT personnel to execute project design, development, and installation activities and manage stakeholder expectations. The candidate will assume an IT management role for the implementation of the Reporting and Analytics and Business Process Automation projects within the Program. In this key position, the candidate will report to the Sr Program Manager for the Program for assisting with the leadership, direction, and oversight of a team(s) for all IT activities. In addition to the above, the candidate will assist in managing internal and external relationships (NC, vendor, and other State agencies) and dependencies to ensure successful delivery of the program's IT components; will ensure efficient distribution of the initiative's technical resources; and will coordinate with business executives the initiation or continuation of IT projects based on business requirements. The candidate will be responsible for assisting with the establishment and execution of adequate project management controls for the initiative based on industry accepted methodologies and standards, and as required by the State's Project Management Workflow process. These controls include the responsibility to monitor and control cost, schedule, performance and risk; to ensure quality and security; and to perform administrative functions.
