This candidate will play a key role in the quality assurance of our client’s middle office applications. We are looking for someone who has proven experience with automation of complex applications and a focus on and commitment to automation. This position is in the downtown Portland office with a growing, agile engineering team. · Create test scenarios and implement automated functional test cases that will serve as acceptance test criteria for enhancements and new applications · Work closely with developers and quality assurance members to run test suites and research errors · Work with the support group to reproduce production problems and identify gaps in the regression test suite · Work with developers to utilize and extend custom test harnesses for applications · Find ways to enhance the testing process with new tools, strategies or techniques · Develops and executes test cases · May develop high level test plans · Documents problems identified in testing and reports results · Manages the execution of multiple, complex test plans by preparing assignments, providing training and guidance and reviewing activities to ensure quality standards are met · Diagnoses system problems and recommends solutions · Participates in the definition and design of new systems and enhancements · Serves as a technical, subject matter resource for testing, systems and business line staff · Performs test preparation activities, including developing test schedules and defining expected test results · Compares test results to expected results · Documents and tracks bugs, problems and limitations and retests · Composes and disseminates software release notes prior to production implementation * * *Skills/Requirements:* · Advanced knowledge of reusable coding patterns and object oriented paradigms as applied to automated testing tools · 1-2 years full-time experience writing in-house production tools or test harnesses with a modern programming language, preferably Java/Junit · One or more years of full-time experience in an iterative development environment using Scrum-like methodologies, with experience of delivering working software to production through the entire lifecycle · Expert knowledge of SQL and relational databases · Intermediate to advanced UNIX knowledge including Shell scripting · Knowledge of XML, HTML, JavaScript and scripting languages · Strong understanding of source code control, specifically cvs or subversion · Ability to quickly troubleshoot and diagnose issues within the quality assurance environment and communicate that knowledge to a varied audience of technical and non-technical stakeholders · Experience testing both client-server and Web based applications through one or more full life cycles of an application · Proven experience with designing and implementing automated load tests for database-backed applications · Proven experience supporting the delivery of multiple versions of one or more applications · Knowledge of financial securities and trading principles, or the strong desire to enter the finance industry · Team oriented attitude · Strong organizational skills and attention to detail · Excellent verbal and written communication skills · Bachelor’s degree with concentration in Engineering, Business or Technology preferred If interested please fill the following details: Full Name: Phone Number: Home Number: Email ID: Availability: Current Location: Visa Status: Relocation: Face to face: Last 4digits of SSN#: DOB: Employer details: If you are interested in this position please respond with updated resume rate and Contact details ASAP.
